In today's rapidly evolving technology era, artificial intelligence is gradually permeating every aspect of our lives, bringing forth endless possibilities and convenience. SLAMTEC stands out the most in this wave of innovation, with our very own autonomous localization and navigation feature for our robot platforms has become its unique advantage. Whether it is in busy hotel lobbies, bustling corners of restaurants, or even in high-rise buildings, the SLAMTEC’s robot platforms can accurately and autonomously localize and navigate, achieving intelligent services. This technology has brought revolutionary transformation to various scenarios.
RPLIDAR S3 Equipped with SLAMTEC self-developed SL-Dtof technology In terms of ranging accuracy, anti-noise, and anti-smearing capabilities Stable performance, excellent ranging performance
RPlidar S1 is the first TOF lidar launched by SLAMTEC. It combines the characteristics of ultra-long distance measurement, small size and anti-glare, and brings a new breakthrough for robot positioning and mapping. The ranging radius is up to 40m, helping the robot to work in a wider scene. Regardless of the large underground parking lot or the large office environment, RPlidar S1 can work synchronously with SLAM 3.0 to easily complete the mapping, and the mapping performance is more powerful.
As an important part of the robot, the robot chassis carries the important functions of robot movement and navigation. Silan Technology's robot chassis has an open software and hardware interface, which provides developers with the convenience of custom development, saves time, energy and R&D costs, and helps products to be realized quickly and applications landed.
In June 2023, the ICRA 2023 RoboMaster Univerisity Sim2Real Challenge (RoboMaster Univerisity Sim2Real Challenge, RMUS), co-organized by the Intelligent Industry Research Institute (AIR) of Tsinghua University and the RoboMaster Organizing Committee, came to a perfect conclusion in Beijing, China.
As a robot software platform, ROS can provide operating system-like functions for heterogeneous computer clusters. For novices or student parties, ROS is less difficult to learn and suitable for entry. For product companies or developers, ROS can quickly do some demos for verification and trial and error, and the cost is low and the effect is good. Therefore, many robot learners, scientific researchers, and developers at home and abroad build robots through the ROS system.
With the increasing demand for robots in multi-floor operations, autonomous elevator technology has become an important requirement beyond the walking ability of robots. The Hermes chassis adopts the elevator control system independently developed by Silan, which provides the robot with the functions of intelligent walking and multi-floor elevators.
The maturity of LiDAR technology plays a vital role in the practical application of intelligent robots, and SLAMTEC, as one of the leaders in the domestic LiDAR field, has witnessed the innovation and upgrade of generation after generation of products. In the process of continuous exploration, they have developed from the initial triangulation ranging method to more advanced time-of-flight (TOF) technology, from RPlidar A1 to RPlidar S2, constantly promoting the progress of LiDAR technology.
Environmental perception and recognition are inseparable from sensors such as LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar. LiDAR is a radar system that emits laser beams to detect characteristic quantities such as the position and speed of targets. The millimeter wave radar refers to the radar that works in the millimeter wave band. Millimeter waves are essentially electromagnetic waves. The frequency band of millimeter wave is quite special. Its frequency is higher than that of radio and lower than that of visible light and infrared. So what is the difference between LiDAR and millimeter wave radar?
As SLAMTEC’s first low-cost LiDAR sensor, RPlidar A1 lays the foundation for SLAMTEC’s industry expansion. Its impact is not limited to domestic and commercial mobile robots; the broad scope of the LiDAR industry allows for differentiation in various subdomains. Nevertheless, the key to breakthroughs in autonomous positioning and navigation capabilities lies in prioritizing practicality and reliability, a principle embodied by our RPlidar products.
