1. Have a close-range detail experience comparable to trigonometric radar
Now, let’s use the most common big white wall scene to take a look at the measured details of RPLIDAR C1, A series radars, and traditional TOF ranging radars under close objects.

It can be seen that in terms of detailed experience of close-range objects, the performance of C1 is almost consistent with that of the A-series triangular radar, meeting customers’ needs for high precision and high details at close range.
2. Facing various environmental objects, excellent anti-tailing and anti-interference performance
In addition to excellent detail performance at close range, anti-interference and anti-tailing capabilities in the environment are also equally important for lidar. So, what is the actual measured performance of C1 and A series and traditional TOF lidar when facing objects that may cause tailing in the environment?

The picture shows the scene combination of white wall + paper cup. It can be seen that when C1 and A series radars face paper cups that may cause tailing, the point cloud diagram is clear, no tailing, and no adhesion occurs.
Stable surface accuracy when facing highly reflective objects
Stainless steel tables and chairs, skirting boards, fitness quick-drying clothes, etc. are common highly reflective object surfaces in daily life. However, if lidar is not capable of dealing with highly reflective objects, point clouds with unstable accuracy will appear, affecting use.

SLAMTEC RPLIDAR C1 has stable ranging accuracy without losing points when facing highly reflective objects, protecting applications such as mobile robots.
High resolution for small objects
When facing small objects, RPLIDAR C1 can “see” every detail in the environment clearly, highly restoring the scene, making the application more comfortable.

It can be seen that when faced with a table leg of only about 1cm, RPLIDAR C1 perfectly restored the details without artifacts, restoring the realism of the scene to the highest level.
High detection rate of dark objects
Due to the different reflectivity of various types of objects to light, the detection of dark-colored objects has always been a problem in the lidar community. So if dark objects + small objects appear in the same scene at the same time, will the test immediately escalate? Let’s see how C1 responds.

Among them, C1 is a red point cloud, and A series is a blue point cloud. Judging from the picture, the point clouds are almost the same, and they have perfectly withstood the test of the black +5mm forward convex reflector.
Enrich perception, not just flat surface
Thanks to the accumulation of SLAMTEC self-developed SL-DTOF ranging technology, in addition to feedback position information data, RPLIDAR C1 can also output reflectivity data and 2.5D multi-dimensional information to give you more reference.
