TECHNOLOGY

360° Full-scan

The RPlidar A3 utilizes a ranging that rotates clockwise, enabling 360° full-scan detection of the surrounding environment and producing a map of the area.

TECHNOLOGY

LiDAR Scanning Process

TECHNOLOGY

Sampling Frequency Up to 16000 times/second

The sample rate of LiDAR directly decides whether the robot can map quickly and accurately. RPlidar A3 improves the internal optical design and algorithm system to make the sample rate up to 16000 times/second, which is the highest in the current economical LiDAR industry.

TECHNOLOGY

25m Range Radius

With algorithm optimization, RPlidar A3 improves the range radius up to 25 meters, which will collect more environmental data due to a larger outline map.

TECHNOLOGY

Indoor and Outdoor Availability

The RPlidar A3 has the ability to operate simultaneously in two modes: enhanced mode and outdoor mode. In enhanced mode, the RPlidar A3 uses its maximum ranging radius and sampling rate to achieve optimal mapping performance in indoor conditions. In outdoor mode, the RPlidar A3 operates with a more reliable resistance to daylight interference. Both white and black objects are detected with the same steady performance.

TECHNOLOGY

RPVision 3.0

RPlidar A3 adopts laser triangulation ranging principle, and with high-speed RPVision3.0 ranging engine, it measures distance data 16000 times per second and keeps its excellent performance in a long distance.

TECHNOLOGY

New Non-Contact Motor

RPlidar A3 uses a self-designed brushless motor to reduce mechanical friction while running as compared to the conventional belt drive mode. As a result, the RPlidar A3 can operate quietly without interruption.

TECHNOLOGY

OPTMAG Original Design

The majority of conventional non-solid LiDARs use slip rings to transmit power and data, however they only have a lifespan of a few thousand hours owing to mechanical wear. SLAMTEC has integrated the wireless power and optical communication technology to create its own OPTMAG technology, which overcome the lifespan of traditional LiDAR system. It fixes the electrical connection failure caused by the physical wearing out so as to prolong the lifespan.
