Quick Start Guide for RPLIDAR LPX-T1 (es translation)

Ago 14, 2024 | Technology

LPX-T1 is a new generation long and medium-range high-performance laser radar developed by SLAMTEC. It boasts a ranging capability of up to 40 meters, with a rapid laser ranging sampling rate of up to 60,000 times per second. Additionally, it exhibits strong resistance to ambient light, with a capability of up to 80,000 lux. The scanning angle covers 270 degrees, allowing it to generate real-time planar point cloud map information, providing precise environmental perception and navigation support.

Designed specifically for AGV scenarios, LPX-T1 is also applicable in practical scenarios such as service robots and lightweight autonomous driving (unmanned vehicles in parks). LPX-T1 is an ideal choice for addressing challenges in real-time robot localization and online map construction.

Today, I bring you a quick start guide for using LPX-T1.

Step 1: Open the box and check whether the LPX-T1 radar kit is complete. The LPX-T1 development kit includes the following components: LPX-T1 module, Ethernet cable (sold separately), and power cable (sold separately).

Connect LPX-T1 to the computer via an Ethernet cable and connect the power adapter to the power source using the power cable. Before using the RPLIDAR T1 module, Ethernet configuration is required. Set the computer’s Ethernet port IP address to be in the same gateway as the radar IP. The default IP address of the radar is 192.168.11.2. Ensure that the LPX-T1 module is connected to the PC through the Ethernet port.

Configure the computer’s Ethernet port IP address to be in the same gateway as the radar.

Connect the radar in Robostudio, select Udp Server. The default radar IP address is 192.168.11.2, and the port number is 8089. You can view the radar scan data and perform other operations in Robostudio.

Troubleshooting:

If the internal ranging system malfunctions or the laser emitter power consumption is abnormal, the ranging core will automatically enter a protective state. The demo tool and SDK interface can obtain the current working status of the ranging core. If a fault occurs, you can send a restart command to request the ranging core to restart.
